Weekly Reading Update

Here's what i've been reading...

Tangled Up In You by Christina Lauren | IN PROGRESS

You guys, I did it! I swear I’d been reading this one for a month (at least), and I finally finished it!

It was very cute. Certainly not my favorite Christina Lauren, but it wasn’t bad. The characters were super likable and really cute together. The story had several mirroring moments to the movie Tangled, which were fun to spot.

I will warn you—if, like me, you were looking forward to Ren and her roommate living together and their dynamic... lower your hopes. All the way to the floor. Because that roommate is quite literally never seen again.

Finlay Donovan Jumps The Gun by Elle Cosimano | FINISHED

This has officially been named my favorite of the series (so far).

I felt like I was giggling and smiling through most of this book. Finlay and Vero are hysterical together—they get better with every book. And, to my own surprise... I am slowly becoming Team Nick. I can see the appeal.

I do still have some mixed feelings, though—almost like he isn’t really giving Finlay a chance and is just inserting himself into her life. Maybe unintentionally.

I was also wrong in my theory about who Easy Clean was, which I’m actually happy about. I really liked the way new characters were introduced in this one. This was pretty darn close to a 5-star read for me.

Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by Elle Cosimano | IN PROGRESS

Started this yesterday and I’m already halfway through.

This one has me feeling some serious sympathy for Stephen, and I don’t know how I feel about that. I almost think something is going to happen that will solidify him being terrible, but Elle keeps us on our toes—so who knows?

I really need to take another moment to praise this narrator. The way she voices so many different characters and accents is incredible. She’s a 10/10, and I cannot recommend the audiobooks enough.

Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko | IN PROGRESS

When I say in progress, that means I’m on chapter one.

I don’t have many thoughts yet, other than that I’m interested in the magic system—or what I believe will be the magic system.

My book bestie, Steph, loved this duology, so I’m looking forward to really getting into it.
