Weekly Reading Update

Here's what I've been reading...

Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by Elle Cosimano | FINISHED

This one was a wild ride! This book was by far the riskiest for Finlay and Vero, in my opinion. The twists and turns, per usual, kept me guessing the entire time. And the ending? Total shock.

I loved the added risk of the kids being so close during this book and Stephen having to do the bulk of the parenting—which he isn’t used to at all. It just felt like a win for moms in general to see him struggle.

I still have some mixed feelings about Stephen and Nick. I can’t shake the feeling that the ball is about to drop with at least one of them, if not both. I debated reading Vero’s novella before starting Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave, but I think I’m going to skip it for now.

Out of the Woods by Hannah Bonam-Young | IN PROGRESS

Hannah is another author who is slowly making her way to the top of my favorites.

As someone who goes into books totally blind and never reads the synopsis, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this story follows a married couple in a rough patch who are trying to save their marriage and rediscover their love. It’s just not a trope I’ve read much of.

I’m also so happy to see appearances from the characters of Out on a Limb, one of my top 2024 reads. Very excited to keep going!

Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko | IN PROGRESS

I am still incredibly early with this one.

I’m so curious to learn more about this world and its magic system. It feels like our FMC is really going to start finding her own way and going against what she was raised to do—even though I don’t think she knows what she’s destined for yet.
